Enjoy the Victoria Falls Chobe Day Trip
The Chobe Day Excursion departs from either Victoria Falls or Livingstone at 7 a.m.
and arrives at Chobe National Park in Botswana at around 7 p.m. You will travel to
the Kazungula Bridge from Livingstone and then cross the river to reach Kasane.
If you are traveling from Victoria Falls, you will be driven 80 kilometers to
the Kazungula Border, where your Botswana guide
will meet you. Kazungula is the border crossing between Zimbabwe and Botswana.
It's time for your first safari of the day, a 3-hour boat ride along the Chobe River, after you've finished the border formalities. This portion of the river is well known for the enormous herds of elephant that may be seen from a boat up close and safely. It is exciting to view and encounter hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. What a wonderful way to start the day.
The morning boat tour comes to a close at about 12:30 pm, just in time for a hearty and delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant.
